Staying Focused: How to Drive Safely in a Hectic Society

Rush.  That’s the word that comes to mind when I contemplate my daily routine.  Squeezing the most productivity from your day is difficult when countless pieces of information are coming at you high-speed.  How do you balance a full workweek, holiday shopping, and micro managing your life?  You rush.  This translates to driving speedily, hurrying through menial tasks and creating a sense of urgency.
In today’s blog, we’re providing you with a list of ways to drive safely on a daily basis.  We would never question your driving skills, but we do have some tips that could make your life easier.
Stay focused! Keeping your attention on driving and using defensive driving techniques causes you to be aware of your surroundings.  DO NOT use a cell phone while driving.
Build time into your trip to stop for food, rests and phone calls.  Also, don’t forget to adjust your mirrors and climate controls before putting your car in gear.
Practice defensive driving and give yourself time to react.  By keeping a two-second cushion between you and the car in front of you, you save the hassle of a sudden stop.
Following these brief tips can help you avoid accidents, if you have some that you would like to add, please let us know in the comments below!
